Okay, so I'm not going to do social media other than this. You wanna know what's going on? Hit me up here. I don't promise it'll be anything earth shaking, but it's what's going on with us- our nuclear family. Together we're Tay, Rae, Hae, and May. This is a recount of A day in the life of... Us!

Life in this life

Well, again, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything- even in my own handwritten journal at home. And that’s because this chapter of my life has me desperate for time. I want to snatch it up and enjoy every moment with my girls. It seems that every day my Macy is learning something new. Well, sort of. My sweet pea is a little on the lazy side. She likes to sit and she likes to eat. Dr. MacFerran called her “a pink bowling ball with a head.” Despite the heavy teasing she endures she’s still really good natured most of the time.

Haley has taken a step into childhood and has lost her first tooth. I didn’t know pre-schoolers could lose their teeth, but she did. She has her bottom two permanent teeth erupting and lost only one of the bottom teeth. The other is really loose. And her top two are loose, but she doesn’t have a double layer of shark teeth on top like she does on the bottom.

Taylor is back on canine and was recently certified to work narcotics and tracking. So Taylor is able to work the canine on-call schedule. Bruno has adjusted to life in the Welch household. Mostly. He still sniffs Macy a little too intent-- is he sizing her up for taste??? (Macy loves to watch Bruno and Tucker both—she just squeals at em!)

I had decided to cut back my hours at work to focus on being a better Mom in my mommy times. But about two weeks after I had reduced my work days to three a week (and the occasional weekend or fill in), I got a call from an Odessa pediatric clinic looking for a therapist. I availed myself to one day a week and they took me up on it! So now I’m working at a pediatric clinic one day a week as well. And it’s such a switch of pace. But I love it. (Now for the irony—I’m doing pediatric therapy but my own 8 month old is not crawling, pulling to stand, creeping or even having much tummy time. YIKES!) So my days became a little more crowded again, but not 40-hour-work week crowded. So I’ve made some changes in other areas of life in order to strive to be a little more organized and make the most of my time at home with the kiddos.

So that’s life for us for now. We are good. We have managed to dodge some of the overwhelming trials and health scares some of our friends have endured recently. For y’all- you know who you are and we’re thinking of ya always!

P.S. I tried twice to upload pics for the post, but it's not worth the hassle at this very moment. I will get some up soon, computer willing.
